We had this chair for oldest (now 27yo) then when we decided to home-school the youngest who has developmental problems, we figured out - with the help of a occupational therapist that this chair would help ds be at the right height at the kitchen table in order to write and ease fatigue. With the foot rest you can create the perfect posture & position for writing with feet flat & elbow flat on table.We have used it in our "classroom" for 6 years now and because it is adjustable it's a perfect chair for kids to do homework at the kitchen table. We now use it as an extra kitchen table chair when needed.

No sure about other reviews that claim tipping risks as I have stood on it to replace light bulbs in the ceiling and it was very secure. Obviously no chair can replace supervision.

We recevied the high chair as a baby shower gift and we just absolutely love it. We love the fact that we can have it up against the dinning table to keep our daughter within reach. The Tripp Trapp is very sturdy and stylish. Unlike other high chairs, the Tripp Trapp grows with your child. The seat can be easily moved down to accomodate your growing child. Most of all, just like other Stokke products, it promotes greater interaction with parents and the surroundings.
